The ancient fortification is set on a spur of a hill that steeply ends against a marshy lowland. The plateau of the hillfort has a drop of about 7 meters. The northern slope, facing the marshy lowland, is 14 meters high and additionally fortified with a terrace. On the southern side, the hillfort is separated by a deep trench and an artificially raised rampart about one and a half meters high, which is further separated from the plateau by another trench.
