Description
Corner of Pasta and Akmeņu streets is called also Nut Square due to the walnut trees that are growing there. After the reconstruction, a central environmental object was installed – a fountain with a stone sphere. Sculptures by the sculptor Vija Dzintare – “Austras tree” and “Gates” are installed in the square symbolizing the ideas of awakening period.
