Description
The park was planted in 1966 to protect the city from the dust created in the dolomite quarry. The Forest Park is located next to Radži water reservoir, which has a Blue Flag beach. At water reservoir there is also Radži grand stone – with height of 4 m and girth of 19 m.
An active recreation area is available on site.
Boat hire, fishing and spear fishing in Radži water reservoir, skiing track and hill with lift in winter. Blue flag beach, nature trails, beach volleyball and street ball pitches.
All seasons Tube Sliding Track. The length of the track is more than 80 m. Inflatable camera and lift rental available.
Bird watching tower. From the tower it is possible to observe resident birds of the Radži reservoir and the largest stone in Zemgale region – Radži grand stone.
