Description
A Proto-Baltic settlement site from the 5th-8th centuries. Atašiene Hillfort was discovered in the summer of 1925 by an expedition led by Ernests Brastiņš to identify hillforts. On August 25th, the hillfort was photographed, measured, and described, and in 1926 it was included in the list of state-protected monuments.
